static noise from speakers

hi, recently im having static noise from my speakers/earphone.

Speakers plugged into motherboard and earphone in the front port.

Would getting a sound card solve this problem?

i used to have that problem..
asus xonar in particular is good at this area.. because it draw power from floppy connector (which means you need to attached a molex to floppy connector) so the power is directly from PSU and the power is "cleaner".
power from motherboard are generally "noisy"

but spending like $100 for that, is it worth it? personally i have a mid-high end speaker and i enjoy quality sound a lot.. but to general public they may not be amazed be the "incremental" gain in quality.. if your speaker is low-end i suggest you save your money and ignore the static..

most likely should be able to solve the static?

this is the PCI version.. check if you PC has an PCI slot.. do note that PCI and PCI-E is different. why don't go for the newer version. better support in driver not sure that PCI version has latest driver for win8 for example..

my current motherboard have

1 x PCI-E x16 2.0 Slot (x4)
1 x PCI-E x1 2.0 Slot
2 x PCI Slot

saw many reviews that the front panel amp not working for the DGX(pci-e) version.

any other cards <$50 to recommend?
