I came back from the gym 2day and I set a PR for my full squat. I managed to do 100kg x 6 rep x 3 set. Another exercise for me to slap 2 plates on each side :D .

Btw, also tried out front squat and I must say it was really fun.

Congrats. 2 plates does feel good eh? Too bad my bench is just short of 2 plates...prolly need at least another 2-3 months to reach there.

New minor PR on my squats...it's slowing down now.

Bro, increased by how much lah. The stat page only reflects the current but not the previous.

The slow down is normal for advance lifter like you lah so don't worry :)

5RM up from 116.1 to 117.5 nia. 1RM only up from 131 to 132. Nah I'm not advanced. Only <2 years lifting experience under my belt, so I consider myself intermediate at most. I've recently created an excel chart to plot my progress from week 1 of this 5x5 till now. The gains are pretty satisfactory except for my bench press. That seems to be my weakest lift in terms of progress...sigh...what about you bro? Any news stats?

Me too, progressing very slowly. Hopefully can hit 80kg x 6 rep on bp on this coming Sunday. Looking at the stats on 1st page, it seems that bp is the slowest to develop for most pple. Looking fwd to my promotion to full "Colonel" :D

My proposed lifting ranking system:

2 plates on either of the 3 lifts = Major
2 plates on 2 of the 3 lifts = Lt Colonel
2 plates on all 3 lifts = Colonel

Fishbuff and Captj should be 4 star general by now =:p

can u guys teach me on strength training...wad are the methods...

Yo, bro there are some useful articles on bb.com but I lost the links. I found something similar on wiki and I hope u dont mind: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weight_training

Rule of thumb for strenght trg: 80 - 100 % of yr 1RM, 6 - 8 reps wif 2 - 5 min rest btw sets (wiki is 2 - 6 min but bb.com is 2 - 5 min).

Here is one good strenght trg programme, the Bill Star 5x5 by courtesy of Vurtomatic: http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

I suggest u read the Training Primer 1st.

Nice stats. I want to include you in the stats, but this is the big 3(bench press, squats, deadlifts) so you gotta have at least 2 of those for me to put you in. Do you have numbers for your squats and deadlifts?

Also, I don't quite get your bench press numbers. All numbers that are in the stats are obviously unsupported, unshirted and full ROM. So did you do 2x120kg or 2x140kg? Big difference there :)

Let me know and I'll add you to the stats...

Edit: btw I'm no monster but I train at Fitness Plus, IBP Atrium MWF after work.
