Yes I've already noted that in the original post, but it's not meant to be a true accurate gauge. It's just a rough estimate, just for fun. Nobody gets a trophy being on top of this list :) Not everyone does 1RMs. The closer you are to doing your 1RM the more accurate it'll be though.

People should train 1RM more, no matter what their goal is.

What if their goal is getting back from an injury? That wouldn't work too well would it?

Why not?.........

Performing 1RMs while still injured? Didn't you tell me not to do heavy deadlifts before? At one time I was down to <40% of my 1RM and it still hurt. Much better now, but I still can't do 1RMs. Anything more than about 80% and the pain acts up.

Singles don't always have to be at 100%RM

here are my stats.

Weight: 73 kg

Squat: 110kg x 5

DL: 80kg x 5

BP: 77.5 kg x 5

in most cases yes it would but in the rehab setting of cause this would not be possible but we were talking about training and not rehab anyway. The point is that most people don't do high enough intensities.... I have had marathon runners do singles, doubles and triples.....

Benchpress : 60kg

Squat: 65KG

Deadlift: 40KG ( not yet master deadlift so no lifting heavy here)

Quite imbalanced (posterior chain weak) here, need to start doing more deads to catch up...

i tried DL today, i'm back to my old record at 120kg now. can go heavier but dont wanna try.

it's done without any warm up but i did a few singles before attempting 120.

just signed on here, was reading this forum pretty much, since got new batch just add mine.
am 17 this year

weight:95kg
bench: 102.5kg
deadlift: 155kg
squat: 145kg

all 1RM, dont have very good ratios =]

umm like every student started off doing bodybuilding stuff with curls, but since about.. sept or so fell in love with strength training. but i started training regularly last may
