its those grippers u find at normal sports shops except heavier quality. level 1 is rated 140LBS to close. you can google ironmind and check up their store.

wearing a belt makes a huge difference for me on bench when doing 1rm.

no offense, but I think with your size (and that back) you could be doing much better with the deads

:)

:(

Lol I don't DL anymore. That was an old stat when i was 80kg. Back is thick enough from doing other stuff. Weight isn't the main concern, i'm a bodybuilder not a weightlifter.

fu*king AMEN to that.

an old phrase comes to mind.

"its not about how much you can bench, its about how much you LOOK like you can bench.

sounds superficial, but that's the point. bodybuilding is a superficial sport at it's innermost purity. appearance is the defining factor.

with size come great responsibility. thing is, you won't even grow that big if you don't have a decent foundation of relative strength in the first place.

no one's gonna look down on you for crap like that. we all have different goals. and we work accordingly to reach it.

right on! not saying that I don't train heavy. Trust me I do, but its my intensity of training that might kill 90% of normal gym rats. :D

actually i kinda the normal gym rats' lack of intensity just makes ours exponentially more obvious. not saying we don't kill it, cause i'm quite sure we do :D

lol my body takes a hiding each training. Others are afraid to embrace the pain hahaha!!! We always kill it, thats purely the reason why we train. :D :D :D

Just to share an interesting thing. I noticed that typical gym ppl tend to relate more to how much a lifter does for repetitions than for one RM, when discussing lifting strength. It's because they train in the 8-15 repetition range, so if I tell a gym guy who squats 80X10 that my one RM on squat is 150kg, versus if I tell him I squat 110X10, he will likely be more impressed with the 110X10, because there's a clear relation that he loses me by 30kg on ten RM. If I talk to someone who always does one RM on squat, he will instead be more interested in my one RM, to know how he compares to me.

Ok the above's just fake numbers, I don't squat 150 but was just illustrating. However a true situation which happened was someone being more impressed by watching me bench 65X10, than when I verbally told him I lit 100+ one RM. If he's a power lifter, he will likely be more impressed by my 100+ RM.

Different lifters, different view pts.

Different lifters, different view points, but for one lifter to call another a loser because he does something that is different, that's real classy.

A lifter in gym sort of implied that to me (didn't tell me i'm a loser but waved a hand off and told me one repetitions don't count or hold any importance, in a bad manner) ha..
