Hi fellow members,

Any one interested to test the stealth wire comb for cable management? Will provide 5 members each with a complete set of stealth wire combs consist of:

1) 3 x 24 pins
2) 3 x 16 pins
3) 3 x 14 pins
4) 3 x 12 pins
5) 3 x 8 pins
6) 3 x 6 pins
7) 3 x 4 pins

The thickness of the comb will be approximately 2.8mm to 3.0mm due to thickness inconsistency in the cast acrylic raw material. 3 colours available for testing: Black, Transparent and White. The internal diameter of the holes are 3.0mm and 3.2mm respectively, let me know which one you preferred.

The sets are FOC and I will post it to the address provided via PM. All 5 evaluators will each get another set (FOC) for final testing purposes regardless of whether or not the first set fits your sleeved cables.

Only one condition, please provide feedback which hole size is the comfortable diameter for your sleeved wire sets and what type of sleeve you are using, the latter is optional, if you don't feel like telling anyone where you get them, I respect your privacy. You are not required to return the testing sets and totally FOC including postage.

Please reply in this thread if you are interested. I will post it out once all 5 sets are reserved base on first come first serve basis. If more than 5 members interested, I will pick another 2 more members not based on first come first first.

The samples on the left are 3.0mm and those on the right are 3.2mm internal diameter.

Oh! These will be great. I myself am in need of the transparent ones but have not had the time to get them. Just nice, mine are the 3mm ones by Cablemod.

Thanks you everyone for the hard work in advance, due to the design and nature of this comb, lots of work required to put in place unlike the open end type.

There is no time limit on the feedback, let me know the result when you are sleeving the cable sets on new build, please do not spend time to dismantle current system just because you need to provide feedback.

As mentioned earlier, a final set will be send once I receive the feedback on the preferred hole size and no feedback required for the final set. If the final set still doesn't fit you customised sleeve, do let me know (if possible) which cable sleeve you are using and the AWG size of the wires.

bro.. if the diameter of your cable combs are at 3.2mm.. don't mind I share my opinion on all the sleeve I tested. base on standard 16,18 and 20AWG gauge wires.. your comb will not have any issues.. the only issue is, where the sleeve you purchase from.

Plastic type of sleeve or so call polyester sleeve
Type 1 from https://mainframecustom.com/ Mainframe Customs (Teleios Sleeve)they fit nicely.. as they are at 2.8mm diameter, with much smaller holes on their threading..

Type 2 from https://mod-one.com/ (MDPC-X Sleeves).. they will fit too.. however their diameter is between 3mm to 3.1mm. much tighter fit.. I don't like these sleeves.. the threading holes are much bigger compared to Teleious Sleeve mentioned above.

Type 3 from ebay or from lazada (PET Sleeve).. these are the worst sleeve. threading are even bigger compared to Type 1 or Type 2.. you can see through the wire colors even after using this sleeves on them.. they are at 3.2mm. I believe it will be super tight fit if using the 3.2mm combs.

Last of all Type 4.. which I love working with right now..
can get it locally at beach road (army boys gear supermarket) or from any hiking or rock climbing gear stores.. which are called Paracords. I know they do have 3mm but overall when I go round island wide in Singapore.. I only manage to find the 4mm cords.. but fitting your 3.2mm combs are not an issue.. these cable are super flexible.. I have 3mm combs done.. sample below...

if you enlarge and see carefully, the paracord might be super duper tight fit.. but due to the flexibility, it's of no issue to use a 3mm or 3.2mm combs into these 4mm diameter paracord.

ok abit off topic, just to share... on youtube.. alot mentioned that it's damn hard to work with paracord.. but for me is extremely easy as compared to polyester sleeve. This is due to the flexibility. those with steady hands will love it.. it took me less than an hour to finish up a 24pin PSU cable. no joke..

plus I like the smaller thread holes.. looks so much neater compared to polyester. even though they do not shine but it looks premium after finish.. the shinning type, do pardon me.. kind of look ah beng :X no offence.

https://youtu.be/y81XW21FTZ4 <-- watch it on hd.. you will know what I mean by they look premium.

oh I forget one more thing to share.. cable combs are good if you put them in correct usage.. don't get me wrong.. they are useful but can break easily depending on the material of sleeve used..

also for those polyester sleeve. It will be best, if you are only doing custom length cable wires to sleeve and not those buy off shelves. view this youtube and fast forward to 4:00s onwards.. you will know what I mean.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0zU5tpfdyk

if you get from off selves from SLS, I believe brands like Silverstone, Befinix or something.. When you unpin those pin off from the plastic socket, once you try to place these comb without care, the comb can be easily break.. reason being.. they are not very flexible (polyester) and 2nd.. on the video.. the sleeve starts to flare out (watch at 5:10s) if you bend to a certain angle..

something to take note when using cable combs. well that's all I've got to share.. hope that helps.

once again thank you commach :)

Thanks KleoZy for the efforts and sharing the real life experiences on cable sleeve and wire combs nomenclature with us.

Sincerely thanks for the selfless contribution in making the community and forum a better place to hang around. :)

Hi bro, I'm interested in trying out your cable combs if they're still available! Tbh, I'm still a student but I have strong interest in everything PC related especially PC building. I overspent on building my PC recently and I'm almost broke now while trying to get the aesthetics done, such as custom cables and such.

It's my first time trying out custom cables and given the case I'm using (Corsair Carbide Spec Omega RGB), I'm faced with very limited room to hide extra length/ extension cables therefore I'm going to give sleeving cables on my own a try. I'll be heading to Beach Road to get the Paracord sleeves soon but I'm still missing out some good combs haha. If you don't mind to send some over, do let me know!
