with the dock it can do the same and more.
bro, it can connect to an external display. That does not mean it can game at 4k 120hz.
It is just a 2 teraflop processor. Good enough for 720p gaming (probably medium details). It will struggle even at FHD if you output to a FHD monitor.

Dont get me wrong. I dont expect it to game at 4k.
I understand its tech and it does what it is supposed to do.
But, it is not in my target market.

I'm looking forward to seeing people opening this up and upgrading the storage themselves. $250USD to upgrade to 512gb NVME drive is a little ridiculous.

If it's possible to upgrade drive ourselves then I might consider getting the base version.

Durante (the modder for dark souls and also assisted some JP companies with their graphics coding) said the specs of steam deck is about equivalent to a standard PS4. PS4 already can do 1080p/60fps so 720/60fps shouldn't be a problem. Its just a 7 inch screen, and if output to laptop screen I think still ok. I like the idea, however me mostly stay at home these days, no point to play game on this while my desktop is sitting right there. Will be keeping watch on this though.
