I don't know. This is one of the benchmarks I dislike the most because it always gives me a lot of issues. Typically when you change GPU, despite doing a proper driver cleanup, the benchmark won't work properly in some instance, i.e. crashing, stopping suddenly and tell you it cannot complete the testing, etc. And because the tests are very short in nature, it doesn't really stress the GPU long enough even if you loop it. Each test is about 2 to 3 mins long, and the GPU goes into idle after each test.

May i know if you are using the full version?

I think your situation of crash is uncommon and it could be some of your system driver/firmware update issue?

Yup, bought the full version on Steam some years back.

This issue of crashing, or unable to complete the benchmark have consistently plagued 3 or 4 different systems over the years whenever I change my GPU. In one case, the issue only went away after I reinstalled Windows 10. Uninstalling 3D Mark and installing it back did not solve the problem. Time Spy is usually the most stable. Fire Strike usually cause these issues.

Icic, very weired indeed. I am guessing maybe some of the system driver file corrupted but it didn't affect the overall system stability.

I can't make sense out of it either. Games typically work fine after a DDU cleanup of old drivers. It always 3D mark that will act up. For me, it is a problem because I tend to try out different GPUs. So I end up not installing 3D Mark most of the time. It is usually when I have a new rig, I may run it since it is problem free.

At $1.90 for 3Dmark only, yes. Now at $3.90 for the rest, meh. lol. Its a want, not a need.

I had notified my nephew in the afternoon, he had bought it and now stressing with his new graphic card to find his best setting. So far so good, he is quite happy with it..

Recently my nephew had some issue running the bench, systeminfo did not recognize sometime and stressing stability issue. Later found out he had forgotten to clear the CMOS before swapping in his new graphic card. So i just helped him a bit by turn off all power source and removing the power cord and Mobo battery, reset jumper to clear the CMOS (old habit), then install everything back. Boot into Bios and reflash the mobo bios from thumb drive. Reboot again into safe mode, uninstall and re-install the GPU driver. That's all, everything sails smoothly now. If anyone encounter this issue, may give it a try to see whether it helps you.
