heard that their standard has dropped.

seems like consistency is not synonymous with F&B industry

Long time have not been there, used to go to the one at Ngee Ann City. Like the chilli very much but I've made my own using the Dancing Chef brand and mix with other ingredients. Taste almost the same.

its tanyoto! one of my favourite place....they got other soup base like herbal and mala etc....

what i like is they provide a fish head per table which is quite a big one...and their beef~~~

Yes, the beef is pretty good. We took quite a number of plates. There may be slightly cheaper steamboat buffets out there but in terms of quality and ambience, Tanyoto (especially at $20.50) is so much better.

Coca quality and variety is similar but at almost double the price! And can have only one soup base vs Tanyoto's 2.

Have you been to tanyoto recently? I actually wanted to try, but i read someone review here or online n it was pretty bad.

Viewed this site before taking the plunge with their GMarket offer.

Tanyoto - Reviews and Ratings - HungryGoWhere

Was there early November. My relatives went there last week. We all agreed that it was better than others, especially with this offer. Thing I don't like is it only starts after 9pm. After the meal, Liang Court side door was closed. Had to make big detour to access car park.

All restaurants will have its critics and its ups and downs. Maybe Tanyoto quality is not consistent but based on what we had that day, my family decide that we will be back if there is another GMarket offer.

P.S. Don't blame me if the quality drops on the day you visit. :)

Thanks. Hmmm, now still got qoo10 voucher for sale n its at $20.50, instead of the usual $24.

N the timing is weird. Is it cos its a voucher deal? Their normal dinner hrs should be from 6 to 9pm or thereabouts right? Then this voucher deal more like a supper liao :D

But the voucher excludes GST n service charge, n the UP stated as $49. So nett will be abt $29, which is the same price i pay for the steamboat buffet at M Hotel :s8:

For budget steamboat, can try Guofu (take note that this place is very Tiong). If you are willing to spend, Imperial Treasures is very good, not buffet though.

me too, would rather pay more to eat elsewhere. Once I was at Chinatown passing by those few eateries operated by tiongs. A waitress with menu in her hands, keep touting and for all you know, she spat on the floor. How to eat at this kind of place?

Tanyoto gmarket price i see cheapest is at $19.50-$19.90. I think no more extra charges if use voucher.
