Hi guys,

I just enquired about the price and it cost $189 when its only 99 USD:(. Feel that its quite exp. Any recommendations for other keyboard? No need RGB (Backlit would be preferred). Prefer a durable and no-frill keyboard. Hope to get a new keyboard this week. Thanks!!

thank you all for the recommendations. Never heard of ducky but seems like many people on the net commented about the good build quality. Probably would try them out this weekend before making a decision.

Some googling also showed LED failure for the ducky shine (Im thinking of ducky one cos I no need the fanciful RGB) and why is it so under-rated? Cos of poor marketing effort? The only "good" brands that I know are the mainstream one like logitech/razer and SS.

Also I would be going to Taiwan soon. Would it be worth buying the keyboard there? I also want an extended mousepad but I find the razer design obiang. MM300 corsair looks good but where can i get it? I just want something simple looking with braiding at the side. My QCK fraying kinda badly.

agreed. i don't really like fancy, rgb, branded ones, to me, end of the day, it's a keyboard, and using the same/ similar switches.

only ones i think i will pay for are the filco ones, all the others, can't really tell the difference after you take off the branding.

i just got a couple of mech keyboards from taobao, very decent for how much i paid. using othemu switches. and also just got a varmilo also from taobao, using cherry switches.

if you need help regarding what to look at, let me know, it can be quite daunting to go thru pages and pages of similar/ same things, and don't know if you can trust this seller/ that seller. more then glad to help.

Most of Taobao seller ship within China, but taobao has warehouses that can sign and then deliver to your local (SG) address.

i'll try to find some links so that you can check and compare. might want to consider a set of kepcaps, too. :D

here are some you can check out.

https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=524142355125&toSite=main&sku_properties=5919063:6536025

they above links are sellers i bought from, and received items as per described, though i cannot guarantee anything but i can vouch for their credibility (fast shipping and decent quality products).

you can search massdrop for the team wolf drop, it is almost double the price even on massdrop after lowest price.

something to take note;

blue switches are typed as GREEN.
brown switches are typed as TEA.

choice of keycap colors, and base color is also avail.
usually black or white keycaps, base color usualy gold, white, silver or black.
some LEDs are NOT RBG, more like single colored for each row, doublecheck the pictures.
