anyone know where can i buy a cheap 100W step up transformer from 120V to 240V?
The appliance i am using is using 4W 120V/60 cycle

I heard sim lim square sells this but i'm not sure which floor.

Your appliance only draws 4W. Getting a 100W transformer is an overkill and cost you a lot more. Power drawn remains the same regardless the voltage across device is 120V or 240V.

edit: I checked on Qoo10 and found that 100W transformer costs around $30-$40. Posting the link as an example, not advertising.

Agree sia. The main reasons that cause this fault are the improper repair, bad maintenance, corrosion, manufacturing deficiencies, vibration and mechanical movement within the transformer.

Maybe I didn't convey clearly. What I wanted to say is getting a 100W transformer for a 4W appliance is an overkill.

TS can look for a 10W or 20W transformer instead. Usually the losses are about 10%, hence a 10W transformer can be used with a 9W or lower device.

Step down transformer for US robot vacuum

Hi all - I purchased a robot vacuum from the US - the Shark IQ Robot - it is 120V, 660MW.

Does anyone have any recommendation on where I can buy a suitable step down transformer for continuous use?

(Is Sim Lim even still open?)
