Was thinking of getting an iphone 12 mini but after hearing that production for it has stopped and that they won't even release iphone 13 mini, is it still advisable to get an iphone 12 mini? What may be the issues I may face if it go ahead and get it?

Thanks in advance.

had same concern as many, regarding battery life and was surprise after i went ahead and get it. generally can last the whole day. not so when i had too many calls to make. but if for normal usage is actually quite lasting. it has fast charge anyway so i am not too worry.

Pulled the trigger on the mini when it was launched, so far so good. As many mentioned the battery life will be an issue for heavy users but nothing a fast charge power bank cant solve. I really like the form factor, makes my iphone 11 (work phone) feel massive.

@Irenicis none. just get it.
You don’t have to be concerned about the rumours on how they’ll stop manufacturing.

Bottom line is, if your device run into any issues within the 1 (or 3 years if you purchased AppleCare), you’ll be covered.

I would highly advise against the iPhone SE 2020

It's so late into its life cycle now I don't think it is worth getting a brand new one but you can probably get a used unit if you really need an iPhone now. Apparently there will be an iPhone 13 Mini, at least according to leaks.

why advise against new set now? serious question.

the 12mini is like $300-$400 cheaper compared to first launch right, and it should be supported for the next many years to come.

ip13mini come out will cost like $1300-$1500 depending on price liao.

Yes if buy 12 series now please try not buy at RRP price. The 13 series should be announced in the next 2 months.

probably just wait for iPhone 13 to be announced first then retailer would start to give more promotion to clear the iPhone 12 (esp the mini) in stock..

The battery is in fact better than iPhone SE 2020 so it's not as bad as reviewers said.. but yet do have to mind your usage if you're into gaming/media

1 yr standard warranty plus 2 yrs AppleCare. I’m using the iPhone 12 mini too and battery does drain pretty quickly and I have to charge a couple times a day. My better health is already at 93% and is less than a year. No doubt still a solid phone though

Think I'll get the iphone 13 mini when it comes out tonight!

Unless the price of iphone 12 mini becomes much cheaper?

I've wanted a compact flagship for the longest time. Now that the 13 series is coming out, a 128GB 12 mini is about $650USD here. Coming from a S21 and will be selling it so it'll cut down purchase price by quite a bit.

How does the phone perform in 2021? Is it seriously compromised in battery life as they say? I charge my S21 throughout the day anyway and my usage is mostly social media, YouTube and no gaming.

Is 64GB a sufficient for those who have this capacity?

Go for iPhone 13 mini is a much better choice. The battery capacity is slightly bigger so it should last slightly longer. Furthermore, the entire camera module on iPhone 13 and 13 min have been upgrade to the same as iPhone 12 Pro Max ( main and ultra wide).
