Another trick you can do would be the seedbox concept. Basically create a vpn network between your local drive and an offsite drive/nas like at your workplace. This one is more to dump your files rather than do an image backup.

The chance both locations are compromised is highly improbable. Only thing is both locations ideally should have unlimited WiFi.

But for this method, it works just about anywhere there is power and Internet. Can even put the nas at parents house behind the TV and it should be fine since very rarely anyone will turn off the TV power mains and should be near the internet box so can use cable connection.
