Storage for photos and documents

I am newbie, so i have a lot of collections of documents and photos in my hard disk
My question is should i go with NAS or should i go with those online cloud storage
I like to get feedback from members here...

For most common people, just go with cloud storage if you don't have any other requirements other than pure storage.
Much easier and less hassle to deal with.

I'm thinking if Direct Access Storage (DAS) from Ugreen or Orico will also be good alternative solution.

Conneting to our home routers 2.5Gbps & above LAN ports or USB 3.x ports, to get high data transfer rate...

Is this a viable solution, together with Cloud data storage for some specific anytime, anywhere files access...?

depend how important those docs and pics to you and also not sure how much data you are having. And also how frequent you need to access those files.

I have both NAS and cloud. all my important stuff at NAS are sync to cloud on a weekly basis. basically my desktop sync to NAS and to cloud. for cold data, additional backup on external portable drives bi-annually.
