Storage of bare cpu

Hi, i'm about to remove a cpu from the mobo, how can I store it without damaging it?

Clean off the thermal paste with Isopropyl and then put in its plastic clam shell.

I don't have the plastic as it comes from an OEM pc.

swap it with ur new cpu? or straight plug into the new mobo?
