Can I do a RAID 10 on 4 same capacity USB drives to store sensitive information so if anyone gets just 1 of the USB they think its a spoilt USB?

Unreliable method to store "sensitive" data.

It's a nice experiment, but practically speaking, (1) thumb drives tend to fry easily, (2) you may lose all data if the physical order of the drives are mixed up and (3) plugging any one of them separately may erase the raid array data on-disk.

Truecrypt (or a similar encryption algorithm) is a more secure and elegant solution. There are options available within truecrypt that allows an encrypted disk to show up as empty.
