During mid October, it was $529. Now it's $388.

I still got the downloaded pricelist somewhere in my comp.

becos a lot of us already start buying from US .. delivered here only SGD350 now they hv to compete i guess..

The only way u can buy from Newegg is to use a concierge service like Borderlinx or VPost concierge. It's because Newegg doesn't accept foreign credit cards, and only US residents can verify their Paypal address.

Try Borderlinx, that's what I used last time and it's pretty good.

maybe can try to use the hopshopgo by paypal.. they give u a us address... cause by default if ur sg paypal account u cant add us address but if u enrol in hopshopgo u will have a us address.. wanted to try but nothing that i need to buy

For those interested to find the shop whose prices I listed, its name starts with V so go figure the rest out. I can't confirm this is the exact price cos there was an asterisk next to it don't know what it means also but i wouldn't expect any unusual terms and conditions.

uh if not SATA6 then its SATA3. sata6 is 6gb/s transfer if im not wrong. wah thats extra huge. and fierce.

The funny thing about the Crucial range is that not all the specs are the same. The read speeds are all the same - 355Mb/s, but the write speed varies depending on the size.

ie:
256Gb - 215Mb/s
128Gb - 140Mb/s
64Gb - 75Mb/s

That's why the 256Gb is lumber one.

Because SSD operate some what like raid, where the nand chips are in raid, so the more the faster, no change for read speed probably because it's the controller that already reached the cap.

But then, sequential read/write speed is quite irrelevant IMO, unless you copy large files very often. It's the random read/write that is actually important, which determines how "speedy" your program loads.

current ssd benefits from size. the bigger the size, the faster it is.

ssd still has a lot to mature. but even at start, it is already faster (with a little reservation) than mechanical hdd.

intel one comes with the brackets right?

for mine, i use double sided tape to stick to the casing.. haha

The Intel comes with the bracket.
