My 4 years old laptop has sata 2 connector only.
Which ssd do you recommend guys?
Aiming for crucial m4 or intel 520. But, worry that i will under utilize it since my laptop only support sata 2.
Saw about intel 330 ssd, the price is quite tempting.
Iirc, current ssd support both sata 2.0 & 3.0, some even on sata 1.0.

Yes, it does support sata 2.0 as well. But, since i cannot reach the sata 3.0 speed. Will it be better if i look for cheapest ssd with stable controller?

your computing experience will still definitely be much faster and happier with an SSD whether it is utilitizing SATA II or III.

I personally using intel 520 on a SATA II connector. It is still blazing fast in boot up and program opening as compared to when i was using a normal HDD.

looks like this is the cheapest sata3 120gb ssd to date. i think other brands will drop their prices too. :s12:
noted that this is SandForce based but "Presumably Intel's SSD 330 uses a similar custom firmware solution to the SSD 520, which should hopefully keep it safe from any SF-2281 related BSOD or other instability." ;)
