ariston certain models more prone to leak after using 5-7 years. im using this for the past 9 years.

google for ariston leaking and you will know which models to avoid....

not sure if it helps to extend the lifespan, i adjust the heat to around 60%. if i set it to 100%, after turning on for 15 mins, water drips out from the pressure valve tube. so i guess the more pressure the tank handles, the sooner it may fail when internal cracks form causing leak....

My first water heater also ariston and also start to leak after 5 years.

After that I change to joven and had not leak even after more than 20 years of usage.
