Lower Tier 1 to Tier 2 Canadian Unis HARDLY recognize poly dip (even with good grades).

Still remembered the WTF look on Uni of Calgary representative when I showed him my poly transcripts.........PRICELESS.

How good were your grades? My sibling gpa then was 3.7+ made into ubc sauder and sfu yrs ago with credits transfer.
Their top tier uni is for ppl accepted by local not local rejects.

If your good is oz standard of good say 3.3+ then... Really LL LOH

How does 4 'B' & 1 'C' while the remaining grades either 'A' or Distinictions sound to u??

Still not good enough??

I know Tier 1 Lower and 2 Canadian Unis are ranked pretty well worldwide.

Come on, it's not as if I am trying to get into U Toronto or Mcgill.

Oz Unis???? Dun get me started on them.

Even those with poly grads with slightly over 3.0 GPA can get up to 2 years for 4 years (Honours) Bachelor degree.

That's including their GO8 (1st tier) Unis.

In that case u cannot a rep to know everything about sg.
Unlike oz Canada don't get many Singaporeans going there maybe 50 students a yr if lucky unlike oz each yr u find over. 2000 in a good yr maybe 5000!

It's like dip holder asking a rep from those Finland or German uni

Can be hard to find SG seniors who attended Canadian unis if you don't know where to begin searching. Came across this platform called Flying Chalks, they help international students enhance their overseas studies experience. You can try finding people that are going to the same university that you are going to and also ask seniors who have been to that university for advice. So you can check with them what their entry requirements were and how they went about the admission process etc. The website is www.flyingchalks.com and they've a Facebook page too (https://www.facebook.com/flyingchalks/?fref=ts)!

They have uni guides for a few Canadian unis like UBC (http://flyingchalks.com/university/1...-columbia-ubc-) and University of Western Ontario (http://flyingchalks.com/university/2...estern-ontario). The uni guides have information about things like food outlets, leisure activities and other comprehensive information. Might wanna take a look, hope it's of help!
