If I'm not wrong, you are using the tourist 90day visa for this right? Accommodation settled by the school? If so then there's nothing much to prepare for and worry about. Just go and enjoy! Plan where you wanna go and what you want to see when you are free. Sometimes such schools have their own programmes too, so just go and have fun. 羨ましい!~~

so anymore details ? when you gonna be there ?
Yearp. Gonna book air tickets soon. Decided to stay in Tokyo, chose the school and got accepted already. (ISI Education). Now gonna TT over the school fees..

School is in Takadanobaba..

For the accommodation wise, decided not to rent the shared house provided by the school, since they cannot tell me where I will be staying in. (There's a few location.. so no guarantees to get the one which is nearest to the school).. So i googled around and found this - Modern (Guest House)Living , wanted to stay in houses near the Yamanote Line so i picked Kanda. =D

School is gonna start on the 10 October.. should be flying there on 7th . HEH..~

*Excited*.

By the way, im a SHE!. =D

Takadanobaba! I used to stay there. Very nice neighbourhood! It's right in the city, but accom will be expensive if you decide to stay there. It's near Waseda uni so there's lots of stuff there aimed at students.

Why Kanda? Nakano is nearer.

Yup, Nakano is nearer. . and newer. but it's not very accessible .. since its on other lines.. The commuter pass will be expensive too. Haha.. I dont know whats my chances to roam around ikebukuro/shibuya ..

Woow. u stayed there before. any places to go roaming since i got quite a lot of time on my own..

ok la, its on the seibu shinjuku line. Stops right at Takadanobaba if you want to do a transfer to Yamanote. If you study 5 days a week, it isn't a bad choice. Shouldn't be that expensive too since its just a few stops.

Just to let you know, trains in the morning rush hour is horrendous. Kanda is near the business districts, so.. ya.. expect lots of human traffic.

Just go explore. After a while you will be sick of the urban area, then you can try going for weekend trips to the outskirts. Hahaha.. Not really a lot of advice, just try out everything.

Cause i was thinking.. if i choose nakano, the commuter pass will be from that nearest station to takadanobaba.. Whcih means if i head out to Ueno, Ikebukuro, Shibuya areas, i got to fork out more $ hahaha.. So.. ended up at kanda..

Yes, wanted to roam to non touristy areas.. trying to read up n plan something.

School is 5 days/week. either morning or afternoon session..
