Studying abroad

Hi guys , currently one year into ns and started planning about life after it.

My GPA Is around 3.0 which is not good enough to enter any Local Uni...

And SIM would be my only choice.

I studied at NP Banking finance , only have myself to blame for not studying hard enough.

Would like to ask about how much does it cost studying abroad , example UK or Australia.



And would It allow me to get a better future if I have a degree with honors? from overseas or would it be same as SIM?

Ideally I would like to experience life overseas as I believe you only get one chance in your whole life to do this..

What's your budget?
At 3.0 you can go GO8 to read biz, at most 1 yr adv standing. U should drop by IDP to check it out.
Uni u can look into are UQ, UWA, Adelaide maybe monash.
Cost looking at around sgd$50k today, a yr down maybe sgd$55-60k.

Uk go for 3 yr direct honors program. U can look into Cardiff, Lancaster, Leeds. Uk u are looking at sgd$42-45k a yr. only a little cheaper

previously had a offer from UQ for 1.5years, my estimated expenses was at least around 200k.

UK is slightly cheaper (was looking at newcastle) but if you are planning to come back to sg every holiday, air tix is very expensive. but cost of living generally is lower than aus, from what i researched..

if got honors then will help a bit, but a lot of ppl have been telling me that cert from uk/aus is no diff from cert from SIM, other than the experience you gain from studying overseas.

lol aussie is more ex leh, if you say study the full degree without taking into consideration of exemptions. or it might be that i was looking into a different uk uni.

uk unis iirc are degree with honors in 3 years, aussie ones if you want to get honors must top up 1 year to a total of 4 years..

No exemptions it's easy right? U can work out the basic finance math, just add 2 numbers perform currency conversion, finally multiply by the yr.

Looking at around 3 years with no exemption cause not confirm can get exemption...if slightly higher budget ? Any recomendation?

walk down AOL/insworld to check out UK and they can "confirm" u can get exemptions or not. its free to talk talk..
tell them u have limited budget and they will work it out.

my pal get like 2yrs off back them going thru agent and left to study in Glasglow (scotland is 4yrs).

with OZ go IDP, apply is free.. u can confirm if u can get exemptions that way.

don't have to speculate, waste time.

just study locally, U can do a GO8 degree here in SG. maybe U can transfer there to do final yr. saving more $$
