Hdmi to vga or dvi should be working unless the cable is faulty or your video card has problem

Direct connection using vga cable on both end.
VGA (PC) to HDMI (monitor) don't work.

Of course it doesnt work. HDMI from CPU to VGA at monitor results in the audio being dropped, video left intact. There will be a problem the other way round - how do you create audio signals from purely video signals?

hi guys, thanks for all the info. so what must i buy to make it work

Your monitor shld also have a DVI or VGA port besides the HDMI port rite? Use VGA cable to connect or VGA cable with VGA-to-DVI converter (if there is a DVI port on the monitor). Sound use 3.5mm jack to pass audio signal to the monitor.

pretty sure hdmi to vga doesn't work. you need a converter box to do the conversion for you.

though hdmi to dvi works.

dvi to vga works.

hdmi to vga no work.

Best to get a hdmi to dvi cable to your monitor.
