Need a table..

Need super solid one, can last 20 years and put 50kg++ on it no bend or dent.
Sitoca served me well, but now need one more, and cant seem to get hold of their Cad-Cam series, I called yesterday.

Any suggestion? Went to see Ikea Bekant but it seems to shake back & fourth if pushed a little, due to the way it is shaped with the main frame legs in the middle? Like Behkan leh. $350+ somemore for the 160cm. Almost Sitoca price already.

Any recommendation or experiences with Bekant or others?

Have the previous gen, Galant with the similar legs. I find it quite stable overall. It's rated for up to 80-100kg, so I'm quite comfortable with that. If my knee hits the bottom of the desk, yes, the monitor will wobble a bit, but yeah, this is probably due to the lack of a traditional '4 mounting points/legs' design. I don't consider that unstable for day to day usage. Lol.

If you noticed some shaking, my guess is that maybe the bottom height adjustment dials not tweaked properly for the floor, if it is slightly uneven.

Couldn't get through to Sitoca? Or they just declined sales? Been trying to get a cadcam for a long time too :o

Next best alternative would be to get a custom plywood top and do up the legs yourself.

See if you can get a used Jerker series off eBay or something. They are legendary.. large enough for anything and super sturdy, I even stand on mine to change my aircond fliters :s13:

I called and ask for Cad-Cam. Apparently they do not sell directly to End-User for the Cad-Cam series. Haiz.
Called Challenger Funan also, the only other place with Sitoca. They don't even have a single model in stock!

Thanks! Will look up. Transport will be tedious tho. Trying find first hand with delivery inclusive.

Would you be surprised to know that I actually did a lot of googling and filter to hwz, all of the threads I read and still cannot make a decision?
Most of them not putting that much load on table, and there are mixed opinions on the Bekant being wobbly to shake front/back.
Also, suggestions I see are are bekant / galant and the occasional Sitoca
Hence I post a thread. SG only got 2 type of computer table to buy that's sturdy? Haha. And Galant isnt even in production anymore!

I tried to wobble the bekant on display at ikea some time ago. My memory is, its CMI and wobbly front/back. Maybe I should head down again to test, could be a bad/tampered display or my memory didn't record properly and it isn't as bad as I remember.

i bought these.. desk type B.. L=140
good price but strong and sturdy enough for me..

I actually have that in my kitchen. Damn good for the price, but wobbles side to side. The frame structure and material definitely cannot bear what I am looking for now though. Thanks for the suggestion!

Enjoy the table. I have it for a year le, looks damn pretty on my kitchen. Still cant believe i got it for under 80 bucks lol. IIRC bought for 70 then stack coupon until 6x. Now only $50 O:

Actually, as the table top itself is not say that heavy, it should become sturdier after you load stuff on it. After loading my dual monitors on + adjusting the feet, overall became more sturdier.

Best to check for yourself. If you have a friend about 50+kg, can bring them along and ask them sit on it for you to test, lol. Although the 100kg weight rating is technically for spread-out/balanced weight, not in one point. So must ask your friend to lie down :s13:

Icic. Seems like the Beh kan/Galant series not anywhere even near Sitoca level of sturdiness. Will definitely go check out again though, but the price tag is really high for what it offers. $359 X.X

Anyone tried VHIVE? Boss/Designo/Executive series or others? How they hold up against heavy weight?

Used to be cheaper when it was Galant range, I got it just before the discontinued it, could get all in for $160. They changed the design of the table tops a bit, and changed the legs to white :s22:

Maybe check out 2nd hand Sitoca, seems like you value them alot:

No idea. I have >80kg load on my Sitoca table. 15 Bloody years. Not even a hint of dent, bend or crack. Color also look like just bought yesterday. Most tables I've had barely withstood 30kg load and bend down the Centre before turning to age 5.

I hear Cad-Cam series go for 300-550 (depend on size and config) not very long ago, and that's pretty darn cheap. Even cheapest Beh Kan table also need $249. Ikea delivery and assembly will bring that up $300+ already :s22:
