Suggestion for an overheating issue

Hi,

Any suggestion to improve my current setup?

I currently have 2 140mm front intake fans and one 120mm exhaust fan. I find that if I remove my side panel, the PC won't shutdown under heavy gaming(BF1).
Should I add 2 more exhaust fans to pull out the hot air or add another fan intake on the bottom?

Have you tried to change the flow direction of the side exhaust fan so it draws cool air from outside and blow onto the mobo and gpu?

If it doesn't shut down maybe u can consider adding one exhaust fan some where at the back to draw out the hot air.

There is a broken fan / HSF somewhere that is not the chassis fan. Fix that instead of adding more chassis fan.

No idea, PC just go boom(turn off). Before it goes boom, my gpu is at 60 degress, cpu also at 60 degress.

My fronts are 2 pcs of Fractal HP-14, maybe tot of swapping them from a pair of HF-14 and use them for top exhaust

Sadly, windowed side panel, no holes for a side fan

can u try turn off fanless mode for psu
and just check if casing & cpu fans are at max speed during gaming...

Nope, turn off by itself. I still need to wait for awhile before I can power the system on.

60 degree very unlikely to cause your build to shutdown, might be other issue....

At first I tot it was psu, took another psu from my fren and tested, it still turn off by itself during gaming. But with the side panel removed, I can game with no problem.

Note that all test I did, I undervolted the gpu to the lowest values available in the afterburner. I think my chassis traps alot of heat in it...

btw, how hot your casing gets when you game? maybe your exhaust fan settings should put at higher speed..

i went back to pcthemes they changed the ram for me.
still had problem.

so i put a certain timing for win10 auto update.
change to another wall powerpoint plugging it directly in.
after which no problem.

might be wall powerpoint or yr multiplug issue.

go bios and check first before doubting...

edit: hmm.. you using itx mb.. so only got 1 sys fan input on mb. that's why you can't change the fan speed... is there a switch or something your fans are plugged to before connecting to the psu? turn it to high...

Bro, your gfx card isn't reference right? Then you should really just populate the Nano S with fans all over. Get matching fans as your front intake for top exhaust, then get a stronger fan than your rear exhaust for bottom intake. This way you still get positive pressure. Your AIB cooler card, while better than ref in all other scenarios, is a killer in ITX rigs. Unless your ITX has good airflow, the ref blower style always beats open air. As other bros said, that GPU is dumping heat in your chassis and it is being circulated around. Also, you might want to repaste TIM for both GPU and CPU, but just try the fan config first and report back.
