Suggestion on day trip

Hi all,

Made plans for a short trip to Taipei next week, rather last min thing but have got some idea on some places to go.

Will be staying near TMS. One of the days i'm planning to do:

1) Danshui in the morning
2) ???
3) Shilin evening/night

Do you guys suggest going to Beitou in the afternoon? Read there are some hotsprings there but nothing really fantasitic, wonder if its worth while

If u wan hotspring then Beitou in the morning followed by Danshui Old Street then Fisherman Wharf + Lovers Bridge for sunset before ending the night at Shilin NM..

If not can consider Wulai in the morning instead of Beitou.

I went Beitou, walked up hill try to find Asia Pacific but the road leading up there was so ulu, I thought might not be opened yet, tried calling them but no answer so walked back down again and went Broadway. Very quiet and lovely room. 90mins for ntd990. After that reach Danshui about 2pm. Slowly walk and eat and still loads of time, sat there relax and went Shilin NM.

Yep u should go beitou followed by danshui since they are quite nearby each other if u are going by their mrt

Beitou is overrated. Why most ppl go there is the accessibility. Wulai more troublesome but worth a trip.

agree with what the others have said! beitou in the morning, then danshui for the afternoon/early evening, followed by night market, either shilin or raohe.

If you decide to head out very early, then you can cycle around Danshui/八里. Then when you are almost done, then walk around Danshui old street and explore abit the 红毛城. When on the way back, go for your dip to wash off as well as freshen up after all the perspiration from being out at Danshui at Beitou hotspring.

Then ending your night at Shilin!
