Hi guys! I'm planning a super last minute trip to Taipei on end Feb. This will be my first time there so not really sure what to do or visit there and I hope you guys can give me some suggestions! I'm leaning towards shopping, eating and visiting some sites and a hot spring if I can squeeze that into my itinerary.

Currently what I have is this
Day 1: Taipei 101, underground mall, ximending, shi lin

Day 2: Head over to Ping Xi to put tian deng, not sure if I can squeeze anything else in here

Day 3: Planning to go wufenpu (are there a lot of male clothing there?) then rao he/shi da (which will be a better choice?)

Day 4: Will be heading over to a hot spring, either bei tou or wu lai. Does it make sense to spend the whole day there? Or should I just visit the hot spring in the morning then head off to other places at night?

Day 5: not sure what I can do for half a day, any suggestions?

Where will your hotel be? For Day 1, it doesnt make sense to go to XMD than to Jiantan where Shilin is, unless u're staying near there.

For Day 2, not so sure about Ping xi

For Day 3, if you're going to Wufenpu, you should go to Raohe, since it's walking distance. Shida is at Taipower building Station which is not close to wufenpu.

I don't think it makes sense to stay in Beitou or Wulai for the whole day.. Normally people will plan for a trip to either Yangmingshan first, and/or a trip to Danshui / Fisherman's wharf / Lover's Bridge which is along the same metro line. If it's Wulai, probably just the hotspring and the old street.. I don't think u're gonna take a springbath for the whole day right? So yah, probably good to assign the morning portion for hotspring before planning for some shopping/sightseeing near the place u chose later in the day.

Last day, I would say, just do some last minute shopping, or u can visit CKS or SYS Memorial halls etc if u're into these kindda things..

What time are you reaching Taiwan on Day 1? and also what is the travel dates to give a better gauge?

Day 1:
- Taipei Underground Mall(Reach around 12 noon)
- Taipei 101
- Ximending(Reach after 7pm)

Day 2:
Sky Lantern is always nicer in the evening so i suggest.

- Jinguashi(Reach around 9.30am)
- Jiufen(Reach about 12noon since shops open around that time)
- Pingxi or Shifen
- Keelung's Miaokou NM

Day 3:
Take note Wufenpu should not land on a Monday

- Taipei Zoo(Relatively cheap)
- Maokong
- Wufenpu
- Raohe NM

Day 4:
Dont have to spend the whole day there. 1/2 the day would do. I suggest Beitou + other location as mention below due to the shorter travelling distance and since u're going to soak.

- Beitou
- Danshui Old Street
- Fishermans Wharf + Lovers Bridge for sunset
- Shilin NM(On the way back)

Day 5:
- See what time is your flight back then will have a better idea.

Think taipei hotel must book early, you book too late, like for myself, my Nov trip, I booked one month in advance. Only managed to book itrip inn 3 stars with bath tub 18m2 for 90 per night for two ppl. But when I did my research 3 mths back time, got many hotels, around 65+ per night for two ppl :)
