Suggestions for Kansai dec trip

Hi. I Planning a trip to Kansai for 11-13 nights for 8+2 (driving 2 cars) in end Dec. Need suggestions on where to go. Preliminary plans as follows:

2 Nights Wakayama (visit Wakayama + Mount koya)

4 Nights in Kyoto
Drive to Kyoto (visit Nara along the way),
2 days visiting kyoto area (Arashiyama + East Kyoto?)
1 day visit Lake biya + Hikone castle

3 Nights in Kobe?
(Any good places to visit while driving from kyoto to Kobe)
1 day trip to Himeji
1 day in Kobe + Arima Onsen?

2-4 Nights in Osaka (we are taking separate flights back over the last 2 nights)
(any good places to visit between Kobe and Osaka)?

Wakayama and koyasan are mountainous area.. Do becareful when driving in winter, can cater lots of time.
Even outside of winter I found it challenging to drive in that area as the moutain road are sometimes just one line for both direction. Which means u may need to reverse to let incoming truck pass if necessary

shld be only koyasan for the mountainous area. Not going to be an issue unless it snow.... cross fingers on this.
