Hi, I am planning to buy a CPU just for light Dota 2 gaming.
The com just needs to run Dota 2 smoothly at high at 1080p.
What is the lowest cost build I can go? My budget is around $600 (for CPU only).

Pentium G3258 + 750 Ti seems to be a good combination.

Are you sure you want to factor in 'discounts' into the price? TS may not have badass haggling skills like you.

$607 to $600 i think TP calculate also wont give $607 de ba.

TP usually those single digit dollars will just close one eye give away.

What ive listed is all listed prices on pricelist. Not a dollar different from it.

Only the chassis is what i bought.

On second thought. TS please try t258jgn recommendations.

Are you sure you want TS to put in the Xigmatek X-Calibre into his system?

I don't think it is difficult to bargain down to 600 from 609 in tradepac. Maybe Roy could have put a comment below the price (bargain to 600).

Hi, not to hijack TS thread, but i find this setup quite ideal. Just a question on the performance of the CPU, given a G3220 performance is similar to a core 2 dual. is it possible to use probably a i3 or i5 CPU that can produce stable temperature lets say budget is increase by another 50 - 80 bucks.
Peace.

Yes but do you know why you want an i3 or i5?

primary reason is to make the rig to last additional 2-3 yrs with future games that demands more core processing power. you think could it be an over-kill?
