My surface 3 has been shutting down at 80 to 90% for no reason.

Previously was ok. Battery cycle is only 160. Hardreset the device liao, still same problem. Change power setting still same.

Anyone has same experience? How to solve?

Likely the battery is gone. I feel you cannot rely on the battery cycle to confirm if the battery is dying or not. For example, I used to own a Lenovo ThinkPad with low battery cycle and the app reading the battery as healthy. The battery will randomly drop from 90+ % to 5%. Because its more than a year old, the battery is also out of warranty. :o

Probably one or more of the battery cells are bad. I have a chromebook with the same issue - works fine when plugged onto AC, but it will autoshut off around 80-85%. Googled about this issue and some users reported the same issues, some replaced the battery and it worked fine after.
