I need a good Windows tablet with an active digitizer. I'm actually quite interested in the Surface Pro 3 but the keyboard style is not too convincing (quite weird to use it on the lap? Anyone has experience?)

I looked at a few alternatives (Thinkpad Yoga, HP X2 612) but mostly everything is not available in Singapore.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good hybrid laptops that come with a good stylus?

If you don't mind Dell, can look at its latitude 7350 2-in-1.. It can have optional micro-Sim card

Wacom Cintiq Companion 2. Best experience for people who want to use the stylus often.

You should consider the T300 Chi. I am thinking of ordering a number of units that will give us a sizeable discount. Please kindly let me know if u are looking for 1x unit.

Thanks for all the replies!

@Wongpk I actually considered that and I think it looks awesome but the available configurations are mostly from the previous generation processors :(

@Chengsun, @Demon_Hunter I'm actually switching from an ASUS T100 because I really need the stylus and the Atom CPU was actually pushing it (I need to deal with heavy IDEs a lot and large projects that takes forever to compile). I've been eyeing the T300 Chi for months but the lack of a stylus and the lack of ports actually turned me away. Just a side off-topic comment, I actually took my T100 back for warranty servicing for 5 times since I bought it due to Phantom Touch issues.

@Tucksoon I actually think it looks good but it's quite pricey for an Acer. The specs are good though and the battery life is actually quite impressive, but when I tried to use it in one hand it was quite heavy (I usually tend to write stuff while walking around or standing in a train).

@alan_shearer When I read the reviews I was impressed but when I saw the price I knew I would never own one HAHAHA...

@knightshaz I think this seems like a great tablet for the stylus but it seems targeted at more of the design crowd :p I'm actually using the stylus more for taking notes etc. and drawing diagrams. (I take notes on my Note 3 every lecture hahaha save paper. I've got over 1000 pages of crap in there and the screen size annoys me sometimes).

@SimonLam This seems exactly like what I was looking for actually. No frills, solid and doesn't have lappability issues. I think Dell produces really solid laptops (I have a Vostro 1400 which I actively used for 5 years and it still boots up now actually). (Do you know how much this costs? I just tried to check the price but they required me to call them up for a quote :/)

@All

ANYWAY... Yesterday I caved in and purchased a Surface Pro 3 i5 128GB HAHAHA... :( The lappability issues are very, very real. I could use it just fine in the train but when I used it in the bus the whole thing kept sliding around and I had to switch it to use it as a tablet. It's really really speedy, very light, and quite good for the price though so I can't really complain :p

For 7350, I have a quote from my supplier. It's a latitude class. Price around $2400-$2800 depends on specs and accessories.

It's new and I have to admit I have yet to see and test it.

HAHA don't worry just get it. I personally feel that it's a damn good machine and I'm just being unlucky.

I took bus 502 to test and it drove really fast and the ride was bumpy. My SP3 actually slid around and it smacked the seat in front :( It's much more stable in a train though

I note that u keep saying the phantom touch issue. Please kindly elaborate about that issue...:s11:

It's as if there's a ghost touching my screen. Randomly, I would see 3-4 fingers (you know, the touch circles in Windows) moving all around my screen. If you put the tablet to sleep and wake it up, you can't slide it up to unlock because the fingers will be holding down. Really makes the tablet unusable and a restart/reinstall drivers/reformat/any software-related solutions doesn't help (it seems to be some kind of hardware issue).

Holy cannot afford :(

Hehe I'm abit late uh :( just saw that SP4 is coming out in July hahaha

I think the t300 chi is a good product. A good alternative for those who don't have sp3. Ur group buy up already?
