No. Not resolved. And they are darn slow in resolving it. Talking to them on the phone can vomit blood.

I raised the issue, but they said that the replace unit are randomly send out and cannot choose. your problem solve after feedback to them?

I rather buy any Lenovo like the X1 Carbon or T480 (laptop king of battery life compared to Microsoft junk). If microsoft dare to give 3 years warranty like lenovo. Then go ahead and buy.

If you talk about the concept of the surface pro, I would give it a 9/10. Detachable keyboard, tablet with full fledge window. Pretty light, reasonable battery life, rather hassle free service support

If you are referring to reliability, I would have given 6/10. Within a year, mine spoil twice. 1. Keyboard suddenly spoil (got replacement within 3-4 days) 2. Software corrupted (got a reburbised set within a week). If you ask me whether I will buy another surface pro, I would say no unless I get extended warranty. Typically quite difficult and expensive to repair without warranty. For a machine that doesn’t even survive the first year, I will be prepared to write off at Year 2 once warranty runs out. This is an expensive window tablet/ laptop. I would have gotten a dell/ Lenovo instead

Again that is just my personal experience.

anyone can recommend a dongle to connect to a 2nd monitor or projector?

I understand for Surface Pro 5 is via the USB-C to HDMI connector correct? Official one is super expensive.

It does not have a usb-c port. Only a USB-A and mini DP. I m using mini DP to Hdmi at home to an external monitor. And using the surface Dock to 2* monitors at work

I owned the sp4 and sold it to upgrade to this model. No issue with my previous sp4, which was 1yr plus.
For this 2017 model, no issue so far, only complain is the screen bleed. Not noticeable during normal use.

I bought extended warranty to 3yr from retail shops for both unit.

Both services me well. But the i7 256 model which I m using now, I find the storage not enough for me. Sd card is slow. If u can afford, go for the 512 model. I use the pen, so unless there r better spec out there, I will sure jump due to the non upgradable issue with sp.
