No worries, we don’t discriminate anyone here.
Surface would be better as you have a digital stylus (sold as an optional accessory) to jot and annotate notes on one note / other note taking apps. Battery life is pretty great as well - 4 to 5 hours average and light.

From a Pro 1, I am now still on my Pro 3 - lasting well albeit I had to replace its power adapter after 3 years of ownership. Both pros are still working splendidly

hi. my younger brother is going to uni end of this month to study politics. i want to buy him a laptop and tablet separately. i am looking between microsoft and apple. can you recommend me which brand, which model to get him and why?

in case anyone want to flame me why I am choosing these 2 brands please understand that I never studied well. my brother has a chance to be in uni. i want the best for him so i only am looking at these 2 brands. thanks.

Personally I would prefer surface as there are more programs support Windows as compare to Apple. Apple is more for those doing graphic design.

Just my 2 cents

If i were to replace my surface now, this would be my preferred Spec.
-Surface laptop (not book), i5, 8gb, 128/256gb storage
-Surface Pen.

Get it from the Surface Education Store for a cheaper discount
https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/store/b/student
(Scroll down slightly until you see "Surface for Education")

Not required to get Microsoft office as the school will be offering free office365 via their student email / Microsoft onthehub

Planning to get the cheapest surface model ( i5/8/128 ) either at CEE or IT fair. Would there be a price difference between the 2 you think?

Usually, IT shows price is the same as online. You only buy on IT shows because of the free gifts. I suggest you get it online with student price if u are able to

Surface Pro 6 base model + black cover + pen = S$1358.
Bought from the challenger booth right next to the microsoft experience booth at level 3. Cheaper than the online store :s13:
