May I know more about this too? I did not receive any email with regards to the orientation.

that's weird.. did you recently accept the offer? You may want to call up SUSS and ask regarding the email. But for your reference there are 3 runs for the team building programme:

Run 1 > 15 July-17 July (Singapore)
Run 2 > 19 July - 21 July (Singapore)
Run 3 > 22 July - 26 July (Indonesia)

Yeah, I just accepted their offer recently. I tried calling their hotline but no one picked up.
Thanks for your info, I will try calling them again :)

Ok, no problem. The deadline for choosing the dates is by 28 June so I think you should receive the details by then.

hi

i was initially rejected without interview in early feb. I did not submit an appeal but i received a call today from the SUSS office saying that they want to reassess my application and i am going for the selection interview on this sat.

Quite confused on what happened considering they rejected me almost immediately after i submitted my application. Anyone else in the same situation?

And for those who have already went for the selection and got in, any tips?

I am interviewing for my first choice, Business Analytics. The 2 articles attached in the email are so technical and i am feeling very intimidated as I dont have much time to prepare as this came as a surprise to me

Thanks!

Ermm... do lots of research beforehand; read up on other people views/opinion on your topic (search for more newspaper article). Because the essay/group discussion segment will be asking you more on your views with regards to your topic. By reading/research on experts view may sort of guide you to have your own interpretation or views I guess...

Also, please reach like at least 30 mins beforehand. Print whatever research material you have before going for the interview.. then copy all your notes over to the article that they will be giving. You will have plenty of time copying and calm yourself down if you report early ^^

For the 50 cognitive MCQ.. its just some simple math and english questions. Theres time limit for that.. But I feel that accuracy is the key! So, don't panic and don't do the questions with the mentality of "I die die must finish all 50 questions". For this segment, you really cannot prepare anything HAHAHA. Just make sure you read the question carefully so as to minimise careless mistakes.

For Group discussion, if possible, you can go and have like a quick chit chat session or self introduction with your group members before the interviewer enter the room. So that yall won't feel that awkward when yall do the discussion. The group discussion is really base on your interviewer. Some nice interviewer will really go help you narrow down the topic and you dont really need to worry about going out of topic. But for mine, the interviewer just told us to discuss the topic "Migrant workers" (without narrowing down anything).. so really have to narrow it down by yourself and discuss as a group. For my interviewer, he just sit there and listen to our discussion and didn't really make much comments in between our discussion (so I just pretend that the lecturer is not around, so it is less stressful in that sense).

Anyway, the grp discussion will be conducted in a group of 9-10 students. So it will be kinda stressful because its hard to make comments especially when everyone wants to say something to make good impression to the interviewer. So, if you get the chance to voice out your views, try to make it a quality one (?) something that will give the interviewer the impression that you did do your research as you never know if it will be like your only statement that you will make or not. And also, I think it is super important to actually listen to what the other students are talking about.. so that you won't repeat the points that others have made earlier on. Then you can say something like "I agree with what xxx is saying (then add in your own comments)". So that the interviewer will think that you don't just throw in your views without listening to others. :)

^ Hope it helps and jiayou! :)

How did you know that you are interviewing for Business Analytics? I could not find any indication that I was interviewing for the course I wanted (Finance)

Hi there! I am also going down for the interview for marketing this Saturday! Are we able to bring in our personal notes/research into the venue during the group discussion? Or we can only copy the notes onto the article given and use the same article for the essay and group discussion?
