Hi all!
Joined this forum just for this thread, I applied for the 2019 intake too and my interview is tomorrow!! Wondering if there are any other questions that I have to be prepared for other than the usual "sell yourself" questions? Appreciate any help!
TIA!

Hi, the scenario based essay of mine was about a news article. typically its about two entities having different opinions. you would have to type out an essay about 500 words or so giving your point on the article. Next would be the panel interview.A panel of 4. Leslie Chew, the dean of the programme will be one of them. They asked questions on why law, how can you contribute, will you be able to afford the fees. Basically you would have to convince them on why you deserve a spot.

Hi tf2noobz! Thank you for your reply!
Does it matter if you don't have any law knowledge?
Yep took my LNAT, I got 20 (not great but kinda exceeded my own benchmark).

Thats not bad as it is above the average for this year i believe. Average was like 16.6. I'm applying for next years entry. To answer your question, it is variable. According to some candidates this year, they didnt need to know any legal knowledge, but it there is no harm in trying.

Oh yeah what is the essay portion like? Is the essay chosen by lnat or suss?

This essay was done right before the interview with the panel. Hence it will be read by suss. Word limit for the essay is 500-800.
The lnat essay is a different story. It is done together with the lnat test; your lnat result and lnat essay will be sent to suss for the school to consider whether to shortlist you for interview. In summary, you need to do 2 essays: 1 for lnat; 1 for suss if you are shortlisted to go for the suss interview.
Oh i c. The lnat essay is set by LNAT? or is it also chosen by suss?

The lnat essay should be set by lnat. Logically speaking if the lnat essay is set by suss then why suss ask to have 2nd essay during interview again? That's double work for suss.
Another point is that lnat is a global test, although it is use mainly by uk law schools. You can also use this lnat result to apply for other law schools that accept lnat, such as oxford and king's college.
Any idea when will we know whether we are accepted into the course? The interview sessions should be finished by now.
Has anyone heard from SUSS yet?
