Anyone went for Unisim's interview for fulltime accountancy and finance? I got notified a week ago for it. I would like to know more about the interview process so I can better prep myself for it. 4 rounds , no joke , super scary HAHAH .

First one will be an essay somewhat related to your video, and they will ask for your opinion. I think it's more about quality than quantity, cos mine was quite short compared to others.

Second(or third, can't rmb) is a short write up about yourself, why you want the course and what you expect..

Third is a "cognitive" test, pretty much common sense, and some will test your English vocab..

Fourth will be a discussion with four or five interviewee and one interviewer, just share your views on the topic, will be similar to your video..

Lastly is one to one interview, pretty standard interview questions I guess.. Just treat it as a normal conversation..

I got their email this evening, and I'm in the reserve list too. I interviewed for FT Marketing on the 5th of April.

The email said that the final decision would only be made after the first round of offers and acceptances are finalized.. Would it be better for me to just accept my SIM-UOL offer instead

I was offered and accepted unisim, but I still thinking if I should go rmit/uol cos of duration and money..

Duration 4 years vs 1.5 years, cos I'm a guy, when I graduate from unisim I'll be 26/7?

Money wise, not only is its cheaper, the 2 years extra to start earning money and gain experience if you graduate earlier is quite a lot..

Also unisim vs rmit/uol recognition, I'm not sure how to gauge that as unisim is so new.. And not many recognize it as local uni..

That said, I think I'll still go unisim haha

Whats course U got offered to? Personally I'd go with unisim cos it's more vs reputable than simge. Moreover you can start working if U find a job while studying and convert to part time but you'll still graduate as a full time. In terms of cost that's the only disadv I wld say!

when is SIM UOL bridging course date?

13th June, and I just got an email and found out that I have to accept it by 3rd May if I want to go the bridging course.. Not sure about the SIM-UOL degree itself though.

Doubt unisim would accept me before that since FT Marketing is very competitive..

The topic is only for essay and group interview. The individual interview is a standard interview, like why you choose unisim, why this course. Your achievements, community service etc. Just be sincere, confident and show that you are keen and you will be all right!

Wa I have the same consideration as you. 2 years really make a huge difference. But in singapore I think local u still has that slight advantage? Though like not all private employers know that unisim is a local u.

My interview was quite tricky, cos I don't have good leadership/cca records or social work/contribution, only thing I had was head(still my result not that good), no heart and habit.

Guess you just have to be confident, show commitment, talk sense and be truthful and the interviewer will see that.

2 years working = paying back my fees loan(I'm probably taking loan, family not rich), able to support myself earlier, gain valuable work experience..

Then u compare unisim fresh grad to uol/rmit grad with 2 years relevant experience, who do you think has the advantage?

If it's SIT I probably wouldn't have this concern. But SIM got this bad reputation already, not saying that it's bad but it just what people think. This is what I gathered when I told my friends and family I going unisim, had to explain to them that it's a new thing, different from simge blablabla.

Hope that in future people will think differently about unisim, if not we are just wasting time and money getting a cert that is not much better..

How was the setting of the interview ? Was it quite casual or were they uptight about it ? hhahaha. Need to mentally prepare myself to face them lol.

If you don't have the head and heart for UniSIM, then u can always go to SIM GE. Don't deprive others of a place in UniSIM if you're not keen on it.

Hi personally in my opinion I don't think unisim have recognition yet?

Most people I know consider it part of SIM and that its a private uni.

I would prefer getting UOL/UOB degree cert because compared to unisim it's more globally recognised.

You can check the university ranking.

If you want to work in the civil service, better to choose unisim cos it is recognised by PSD. But i agreee many people thought unisim = simge. Looks like unisim marketing must work harder.
