"dirty"? what do you mean?
its a species of catfish i think, so its quite oily. which is alright.
BUT its damn fishy, i couldnt take the taste.
i tried 2 different brands, same.
also, i cant cook, so just grilled them. maybe thats why.

They're cheap but:

-Taste like... nothing.
-No real texture.
-Since they're frozen you need to take care to thaw, marinate and cook them well. Otherwise you'll get the sniffles.

Xander is right though. As far as protein goes, nothing in Sg really beats a 30-tray of eggs. If you're on a VERY tight budget but are attempting to gain, the magic combination is:

-Rice.
-Eggs.
-Peanuts.
-Soy sauce/ketchup.

thanks for the reply.
I'm not really concerned with taste or texture...maybe more on the thawing and cooking them well to avoid getting the sniffles.
have been getting protein from chicken, eggs and a bit of shakes...thinking of adding proteins from other sources like fish....
hmmm...will think about it...thanks!:D

Are you okay to eat red meat sources? Offers some variety.

I'm slowly becoming the guy who prefers solid meals over shakes. It fills you up, feels good to cook and eat, time with your family/loved ones, every food source also has something that a supplement can't match (CLA in beef for example).

That's cool. Play around with your choices of fish and how you cook your chicken. I like fish but it really depends on how it's cooked.
