Hi all, wanted to ask for your opinion of these two universities offering engineering degrees.
From what i know until now, Sutd has yet to have its degree accredited by certain boards as its first batch of graduates are not out yet. NUS on the other hand has accreditation not only locally but also overseas such that the degree is recognized overseas.
Also, Sutd's curriculum is more liberal arts in such a way that a bit of everything is learnt, and the learning culture is much more open and interactive, something that i hear many ppl say is needed in this world, to be able to communicate.However i hear that in the US, some students take liberal arts because they dislike studying,hence they study a bit of everything, and many end up unemployed.
Is it worth to take the risk due to it being a new institution? Or walk the safe road down NUS, something not so interesting but provides one with the stability and the ability to migrate if needed. I also fear that the syllabus may be broad but not deep enough for the knowledge of engineers.
