Swiftkey coming for IOS8

One of the biggest reasons I use android is because of swiftkey.

Now.... IOS8 is getting swiftkey!!

I can't wait....it is one of the reasons why i bought ip6 also (even though in theory I can download ios8 on my ip5)

I actually prefer Swype on Android but somehow, it gets laggy really quickly As such, I'm now using Swiftkey which is OK. But to have those on the iPhone is excellent news!! I'm so used to just moving my thumb across the keypad and look forward to doing so on the iPhone too!

swift had been working on Chinese all these years... very slow indeed. I am using their BETA for chinese. Well... it's lousy though.

If there is a version for IOS, it MIGHT be better / faster.

iOS prioritizes certain system processes (mainly UI) to ensure experience is always lagfree. If this is applied to keyboard, it might actualyl be better than android experience.

Just downloaded Swiftkey for English and 搜狗输入法 for Chinese. Been waiting for this for years.

How to set the SwiftKey as the default keyboard? When I close the app in the background and reopen, it always goes back to the stock keyboard.

To apply your SwiftKey keyboard, navigate to Settings -> General -> Keyboards -> Keyboards (yes again) -> Add New Keyboard.

Here you'll find SwiftKey. Select it, tap on it under the Keyboards settings and select Allow Full Access so that the keyboard can work properly. Through Edit, you can move SwiftKey up the list to the top so that it can become your default keyboard.
