Hi everyone,

My first broadband contract with M1 will mature on 17 Jun 2021 @ 500 Mbps.

The issue is that I am moving house on 21 Aug. What's the most efficient way to renew my broadband without incurring lots of NLT charges?

Should I move to a no-contract plan for these few months and just sign up a new 24 mo contract once I have moved?
Should I renew with M1 and then transfer to the new place when the time comes?

Ideally I would like to switch to a 2Gbps plan from VQ as I have started a home lab and am hosting a number of services (including Nextcloud).

  • I am currently subscribed to M1 Fibre service. Can I continue using it at my new home if it is fibre ready and ready for service?
Yes, you can call M1’s Customer Service Hotline or walk in to any Customer Service Centre to arrange for a relocation of your fibre service.
  • Do I need to give M1 an advance notice for relocation of my fibre service?
Yes, please inform us of your relocation request 2-3 weeks in advance as appointment slots are subject to availability.
  • Are there any charges for relocation of my fibre service?
A relocation charge of $58.85 will apply, on top of any installation charges (if applicable) for your new premises.

IN case u are looking for relocation fee.

BTW i suggest u sign up when you are moving to your new address. Do take note a new M1 new sign up will require you to pay A one-time registration charge of $58.85 will apply to new sign-ups for Fibre services.

Some ISP will offer Free Reg fee when sign up. But all of them would required a fee when relocation the fiber.
