Guess Syfe deserves it own thread.

The Syfe android app (beta) is finally available after months of waiting!

Obviously both.. It's always a good idea to diversify geographically, whenever possible, so you can reduce exposure to region specific shocks.

Hey how soon will transferred funds show up in your account? Can't seem to find the answer in their FAQs. And the link to their customer service chat doesn't seem to work (at least in my browser).

In my case it took 2 days until my money was in the account. I chatted with them multiple times for REIT+, never was a problem, try a different browser maybe?

Keen to know how's your experience with Syfe guys and which portfolio?

I have a medium risk portfolio (13%) since September, and I am +8% which I consider very good, and relatively little up and down. Very happy, considering to also start REIT+

Ah, thanks for letting me know.

2 days seems quite long. Stashaway is much faster and they check multiple times a day. I hope this improves with time.

I just put some money into REITS+ so let's see how that goes. Though, to be honest, roboadvisors are designed for users to put money in and forget about it in the short-term (that's the whole point right - not needing to monitor).

So, not sure what I'm really hoping to see in the short-run haha.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that just because a portfolio went up 8% in a few months means that it is good and will continue to do the same 8% every few months. You have to take into account that global equities went up ~15% since last September, so any portfolio invested in global equities will of course do well. There's nothing special about what this one robo is doing.

If the roboadvisor does not perform well during a downturn (drawdown), then it would already be too late for the investor.

As these roboadvisors are all using market-capitalization weighted ETFs (except for one ETF used by Syfe), I wonder how the roboadvisor can avoid a drawdown.

By shifting from equities to bonds if the volatility increases. That's at least the theory. But definitely better than I can do it myself...

So the roboadvisor essentially does market timing on the behalf of the investor ;). So the roboadvisor is essentially an active fund manager but manifests as software / algorithm instead of as a human being.

Read more on stashaway and syfe. They have been out for some time, especially stashaway which is the most popular currently

Syfe reit+ should give stashaway a run for their money though

Using both stashaway and syfe. I would say both are comparable in terms of turn around. Maybe stashaway just a little faster. Stashaway AUM is quite a bit higher.
Chose stashaway first because of the app UI, but now that syfe have it's own App, the gap for closer.

stashaway is on 13.5% since last mid July (36% portfolio)
syfe is on 2.4% since early jan (19% portfolio for full equities!)

US market have been rather good lately!
