Synology DS414 or 214Play?

Can someone please advise which one should I get? :spin:

I will be using to store some media/ documents and backup.
Understand DS214play able to stream media, but how does it works?
Is it essential?

I am not sure how DS214play could benefit much compared to other models. The writing/reading speeds seems to be faster but you dont need that fast to run HD movies smoothly. I might be wrong here.

DS214play is only 2 bay, whereas DS414 is 4 bay, more capacity.

Ds214play think have some limitations on transcoding. So u need a player at the end

Thinking if buy DS214play, then i will buy 2X 4T and if buy DS414 then will buy 4 X 3T....

Don't really understand the specs in DS214play.

Can't make decision which one suits me better hehee :p)
