Synology Question

Hi All,

I just bought a 4 bay DS413. I have some queries on my configuration that I intend to run...

Here is my question:

1. I would like to run Disk 1 and Disk 2 as SHR.
2. Disk 3 and 4 will be BASIC and INDEPENDENT.

When Disk 3 and 4 are full. I would like to remove them and keep them. I will then have new HDD to replace Disk 3 and 4 (Lets call them Disk A and B)....

After some point in time... I would like to retrieve data from the Disk 3 that is in storage. Can I just remove the existing Disk A and put Disk 3 back in? Will I have problem reading Disk 3?

should be workable. but in case you cant read, just use any linux to read it

Beside the Linux route.... any other SW that can be used to read?
