Sysma Holdings unit awarded S$5m deal to build two landed homes for deputy chief executive
Tue, Jan 16, 2018 - 8:58 PM Jacqueline Woo tsjwoo@sph.com.sg

A UNIT of Sysma Holdings has been awarded a S$5 million contract to build two landed houses in Medway Drive for a senior executive.
Sysma Construction will carry out the project for Sin Ee Wuen, who is deputy chief executive of Sysma, the group said in a filing to the Singapore Exchange on Tuesday.
Mr Sin is also the son of Sin Soon Teng, executive chairman and group chief executive, who holds a 66.02 per cent stake in the company.
Each unit is a two-storey envelope control detached dwelling house with an attic and a basement.
Sysma said its directors believe the group should not turn down the opportunity to execute a project without due consideration simply because Mr Sin Ee Wuen is an "interested person".
"Further, the contract will benefit the company in terms of its utilisation of its excess capacity, thereby contributing positively to the group's financial results, especially in view of the current general slowdown in the construction industry in Singapore," it said.
Sysma's directors will be convening an extraordinary general meeting to seek the approval of shareholders for the interested person transaction. A circular to shareholders containing further details will be despatched in due course, the firm said.

Btw,
Sysma cash 27.3c.

So at current price, not even near it's cash per share level.

Dividends from 0.5 to 0.8 to 1 cents now!

Company still in net cash but revenue sharp drop.
finally reverse fortune...

Recent result is almost back to pre-covid.

2016 EPS was 0.65
2017 EPS was 3.19
2018 EPS was 1.59
2019 EPS was 0.44
2020 EPS was 0.41(notes on changes of 300k~)
2021 EPS was 1.05
2022 EPS is 1.45 (6mth)

Profit
2016 was 2,507,000
2017 was 7,893,000
2018 was 4,275,000
2019 was 777,000
2020 was 1,184,000 (notes on changes of 300k~)
2021 was 2,648,000
2022 is 3,661,000 (6mth)

Revenue
2016 was 126,228,000
2017 was 97,172,000
2018 was 75,152,000
2019 was 30,328,000

Dividends
according to https://www.dividends.sg/view/5UO

2016 Nil
2017 0.005
2018 0.008
2019 0.01
2020 Nil
2021 0.005
2022 0.01 (interim)

Their dividend of 0.01 for 2022 is only interim dividends, which can only mean there might be more coming...
An interim one-tier tax exempt dividend of S$0.01 per ordinary share amounting to $2,523,486 in respect of the financial period ended 31 January 2022 has been recommended. No dividend was declared for the financial period ended 31 January 2021.

Looking at their Revenue for 6 mth...
4,090,000 vs the same period last year of 2,801,000, a 46% increase.
Then look at their profit
3,661,000 (6mth) vs 2,648,000 (FY), wahseh... what do you think the FY result will be?
No wonder they can give 1c dividends now, given their 6 mth result is 3x last year and 1.5x last year FY result already...

Btw $0.01 dividend over current share price of $0.136 is a 7.35% dividend... make up for the lost year of 2020...
It also shows they are willing to reward shareholders when they are doing better.

I see you are also into approximately 20 cents SGX penny stock? But out of the many penny stock you have how many are showing what you have seen with Sysma Holdings?

I used to buy those approximately 20 cents stock and still have like Challenger, Noel Gifts etc but not all are showing such promise after so many years. If you got time do a tabulation of those 20 cents stock dividends, share price positive minus negative then sum up overall still green color? For me red color haha. Some are realized losses as stock get delisted (bankrupt) so really get back 0 dollars (or a piece of A4 paper saying I own XXX shares of the company)
