System constantly crashing

My computer recently have given me a lot of problems. When I boot into desktop, after a few minutes of idling / web surfing, the screen just froze and restart by itself and sometimes when it do that, it can't POST at all. So I resit the ram, sometime it works sometimes it doesn't. So I thought it was a ram problem.

Then I boot with 1 stick by 1 stick and it still crashes / doesn't POST.

So I used another set of rams an it still doesn't work.

I really can't pinpoint whats the problem.

There's this one time where my display driver stopped working and the screen froze and I see artifacts on the screen and I have to restart the whole system. Not sure whether it will help but just pointing it out.

Is there a solution to this?

base on your description it does sounds like RAM problem.
run memtest over night..

if test 100% okay we can put aside RAM first..
try furmark see if it hangs..
if it hangs.. it may be because of GPU..

if furmarks doesn't make it hang..
try prime95.. it may be because of CPU..

i'm sure one of the 3 will show up the problem..
because recently i have such problems too.. mine is RAM.. my memtest result shows error.. i RMA it assuming it's fine... after 2-3 months i realized it's still the same stick of RAM.. keep hanging for no reasons and sometimes BSOD.

But the thing about my system now is I can't even do anything to it. Even if I successfully boot into desktop, give it 5 minutes and the system would just crash instantly. So the chances of me running those tests are slim.

if based on what you mentioned that another stick of RAM was tested, I doubt is the ram issue but rather ram slot/motherboard issue. also double check that your CPU is not overheated. if you get those ram test software that boot up via thumbdrive/cdrom, u don't need to get into windows desktop and will use much less ram and you probably can run the test for a longer duration. all the best!

I see. Then like that I was thinking should I go get a motherboard to see whether is it a motherboard problem. Is it advisable?

Try these.
1. Reseat your GPU.
2. Disconnect all your HDD and SSD.
Boot to BIOS and see if it's stable there.

What do you mean by see whether is it stable there?

Here's what i noticed in the BIOS, the CPU fan speed will suddenly jump from ~2700 to >4800 randomly. Then the CPU temperature remained the same at 41-42 degrees.

Using the process of elimination, if the system didn't crash then it could be the SSD. Getting a new mobo may not fix the problem if the current issue is not the mobo. If your system can't reliably run on a single RAM module, the it's unlikely caused by bad RAM. Becuase it's unlikely that all your RAM modules are faulty at the same time.

Guys I solved the problem of my crashing problem already. I reapply thermal paste and everything went fine. So afterwards I did a clean reformat and another problem came up.

After the POST screen right, they will tell me boot manager is missing. Press Ctrl Alt Delete to restart. I tried to google for the problem but I still can't fix it using Windows Recovery or the command prompt. Now everytime I have to use the Windows 7 CD to boot to my desktop. Anyway to solve this problem?

When you are doing Win 7 setup, you left the other HDDs remains connected? If so, you are likely to face this issue upon first restart after setup. Win 8 is fine with other HDDs connected.

Disconnect all other HDDs except the OS drive during Win 7 setup. You can connect back after setup is done.

Yes, with all other HDDs disconnected.
