Dear forumers,
So I've been traumatised with a series of pixellations, black screens and freezes from my friend's computer.
HIs rig is as such:
Mobo: Asus h81m-HDS
cpu: Intel 3258 (stock)
PSU: corsair 430w 80+ bronze
Memory: corsair 2x4gb
SSD: 840 evo 120gb
HDD: 1tb caviar blue
OS: windows 8.1
Gpu: gigabyte r7 260x 2gb ddr5
Second gpu: asus 560ti direct cu ii 1gb ddr5
Here's how this goes. I initially built it with the r7 260x, and after a period of time, he experienced screen pixellation and random stutter. connection was via hdmi. I eventually got him a replacement, albeit an older second hand one, and replaced his r7 260x. it now runs on a mini hdmi to hdmi converter. three days after I had replaced it, it showed pixellation errors again.
Is there any obvious reason other than the GPU or hdmi cable that might be the cause of these errors?
I'm seriously at my wit's end. His monitor is brand new and i've had him swap cables to VGA via a dvi to hdmi adaptor.
