Researching a build for my friend got me itchy to upgrade my system (bought 2015/2016), though its doing quite ok
Specs below for ease of reading:
Intel Skylake i5-6500 @ 3.2 ghz
MSI B150 Mortar
ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1070 AMP Edition
G.Skills Value Ram DD4 2400mhz 8gb
Superflower Leadex Silver 550W
Samsung 850 Evo 500gb, Western Digital 2TB Blue
Fractal Design Define R5 (Black - Window)
Dell U2717D - 2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz
What would you guys suggest as low hanging fruit?
Im guessing
1. 8gb ram > 16gb? no point getting anything faster since its capped at 2133mhz right? wonder if i should just buy another value stick (though not matched)
2. upgrade to ryzen 2600 / 3600? then i can get 3200mhz ++ rams
guess other parts are ok? Previously got 8gb stick, wanted to get another in the future, then the whole bitcoin craze came in, prices went up to 100 a stick lol. glad it came down.
