Tainan To Yilan

Hi,

Need some advice.

Our family (3A + 2C) will be travelling from Tainan to Yilan during our coming Taiwan trip. Initially the plan was to bring the kids to Leofoo Theme Park and 1 nite stay there before we go to Yilan. However because the train stations are quite apart, we had decided to travel straight to Yilan and spend 1 more nite at Yilan instead. Our last lag will be Taipei after Yilan.

Now, thinking of
1. Taking HSR Tainan To Taipei and transfer either by train or taxi to Yilan, or
2. Hiring a cab from Tainan and 'tour' along the way to Yilan.. How much would the cost be and time taken? Are there any interesting places along the way esp between Tainan and Taichung?

Which is feasible if we have two big luggage? Any other suggestion is appreciated.

No one knows your plan and how many days have you spare for Tainan to Yilan as it's not stated clearly.
For now, it may be ideal for you to take HSR to TPE then bus or train to Yilan depending on where you are going to stay in Yilan.
Near or far from station etc.

Hi,

Will be staying at Tainan City, North district (2N) before commuting to Yilan Luodong for another 3N. Total 5 nites for Tainan and Yilan. Need to take taxis from lodgings to Tainan and Luodong train stations.

What is in yilan that you must go? Leofoo should be more fun for the children. Taipei will have enough places to visit.
