Taipei 10D9N advice needed

Hi,
I will going to Taipei early june this year and have problem planning itinerary for 10 days trip esp the first day i reach taipei is abt 5pm. I thought of the entire 10 days will be exploring Taipei.

Then 1st day night just go Ximending after u check-in...That's not exactly hard...

Anyway, 10D in Taipei abit wasted..

Consider going Taichung for 1N the next day followed by Cingjing for another 1N then come back Taipei for the rest..

Alternatively can consider going Hualien for 3D2N on the 2nd day..

I also booked a hotel for 10N, but i am going taichung also. Morning go, night back at taipei a bit rush but as long as its a well day spent, i don't mind.

Think 10 days too much, think 5 days is more that enuff, you can squeeze morning to night to walk shop lol
Travelling distance is far.
If you want to go XMD to Jiufen, need to take XMD to TMS, then TMS then to Ruifang, then change bus 1062 to jiufen. If shifen, then need take jiufen bus 1062 to ruifang, then take another train to shifen.

Hotel booked already still can cancel mah. Check with your hotel on the penalties, maybe the last half of your trip still can change.

Last yr i took a 8day trip to taipei, spent 3 nights in hualien and 1night in jiufen.

Some hotels have free cancellation, think normally agoda hotel most of them no free cancellations. Hotels.com and other websites most of them have free cancellations for taipei hotel Normally wont book from agoda.

Plus hotels.com they have voucher, after applying, is cheaper than agoda.
