Taipei firstimer, some questions

I will be visiting Taipei end of October. Some questions I have are

1. How to get to Yangmingshan? What to see there?
2. If I want to visit ShiFen from JiuFen, do I need to take bus to RuiFang train station and transfer to PingXi train line?
3.there used to be a Taiwanese healthy steamboat restaurant in Bugis called Mushroom Park restaurant. I can no longer find them here or Taipei. I think they are closed permanently. Is there an alternative to this type of healthy mushroom steamboat restaurant?
4. What are the must-eat food in Taipei, any good recommendation?

Hey there,

Maybe not much help on the food, but to get to Yangmingshan, take the Taipei metro to Shilin Station which is on the red line, get out fro exit 1, head straight to see a line of bus stops, 80%+ of every bus that pass through there goes to Yangmingshan, it's cheap, fast(buses get express entrance on weekends), and flexible because there are equally amount of buses returning to Shilin station, so just choose the one that fits your time schedule. Yangmingshan has some flower farms depending on season(hai yu and cherry blossom are the most common), some freshly picked and cooked food, and treks with pretty good views.

As for must eat, there are plenty of suggestions out there but just a few advices to avoid Ningxia and Raohe Nightmarket, even if you're just visiting for fun, don't expect to fill your stomach up with good food, it's average at best.
