If yours is special occasions, or peak (Fri to Sun)
then price might be 2x the price of offpeak ...
From the list, most except amba, cityinn (depends), cosmos should be above 100sgd during offpeak period ...

Why don't you just go to Booking.com or agoda and key in your dates to check?

VIA hotel right in the center of XMD. Stayed few trips liao. Less than $100. Value for $$ n most important, clean n comfotable.

Why don't you just go to Booking.com or agoda and key in your dates to check?

i would advise expedia and agoda ...
Personally i felt that 90% of the hotels, expedia and agoda generally have better prices ... Based on my personal experience booking for many trips in msia, thailand, hk, taipei, etc for many years

Having said that I managed to book ecfa hotels quad room at 75sgd per nite for four which is supposed to be a secret deal i guess. other sites prices were 125sgd

I stayed in Via a few years back. While everything was good, one thing I didn't like was their comforter. I got very hot after being under the comforter for like 10 minutes. But not using the comforter means it'd get very cold after a while.

Sleep quality wasn't that great when you have to keep flipping the comforter on and off.

Which ECFA hotel are you referring to? I was checking on Expedia, saw a few. Wan Nian, Red House, Kun Ming and Ximen. Among the 4, it seems like the Wan Nian outlet is nearest to Ximen station. The other 3 are really very cheap, but the reviews are like "very old rundown haunted looking building, too far, etc etc".

There seem to be a few VIA hotel, may I know which one is recommended? with window?

Interested to know too...

Btw, i notice if choose to stay near Ximen Station and Taipei Main Station, the business hotels all seem to have very average reviews... I am ok with the noise or what, but I am more cleanliness and smell...

i have check their price in NOV seem to be $108 for standard double a bit expensive. i wonder is it noisy?

Stayed at papa whales b4. No windows for the rooms there.The bathroom also separated by a curtain only, ok if staying with gf or wife,otherwise very awkward...

Ya Puri is nice. Location is v gd. Rooms are rather new.
Muzik is nice too.
Dont like Rainbow. Right in the middle of XMD but very old.

You guys have any experience with the odour? The local, pricing and looks of the hotel is great, but i was reading some of the feedback are about the bad odour....

I've stayed at Puri , muzik , dairy of Taipei. First two totally ok. Odour probably specific to certain rooms if u unlucky to get one that smells.
